West Coast 15 Reasons Why to Walk – May 15, 2011
Victoria, BC – On a chilly, rainy Sunday supporters gathered and walked to raise funds and awareness for vasculitis. The weather did not dampen the walkers’ spirits and their efforts raised over $6,200.00! The walkers/supporters were kept warm with plenty of hot coffee and a nice spread of food for lunch. All the walkers received a Vasculitis Foundation Canada goody bag
and a T-shirt.
The walk was organized by Jennifer Baker who is cousin to Erin Reid from Quesnel, BC. (You may recall that the Reid family of Quesnel holds an annual golf tourney in support of vasculitis.) Jennifer and Erin’s grandmother, Ramona Floyd a steadfast vasculitis supporter, was at the event to lend the girls a hand.
Congratulations to Jennifer and the West Coast walkers and supporters on a terrific event!!
