Did you know….That the VFC started off as the WGSG in 1997 with 3 members? In 2008 the name was officially changed to the Vasculitis Foundation Canada and now has many members across Canada.

Our Coming Events!

GENERAL MEETING - Our next Vasculitis general meeting will be on October 23, 2010 from 11:00am - 4:00pm in Cambridge, Ontario.

At our next general meeting we will have a guest speaker talking on dental problems and Vasculitis Diseases.  Come join us and learn about the special needs of our dental health. We will be having basket draws, plus other give aways and prizes. Get involved and meet new friends and share your experiences with others who understand about your disease. Your registration will also include a hot roastbeef lunch with all the trimmings, don't be left out book early.

Regular Meetings

Meetings are held twice a year, usually in Cambridge, Ontario at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall (Preston-Branch 126). Lunch is followed by informative speakers, presentations, informal discussions, and sometimes a personal history of a patient’s Vasculitis experiences. We also hold an informal BBQ each year. This year’s gatherings are as follows.

Cost $20 per registration and includes hamburger or hotdog, chips, drink and t-shirt. Special early registartion fee's!

Raise donations as an individual or as part of a team. Can't be here in person? Then raise funds and we will provide you with a volunteer walker to walk for you.

 

We will be holding a gala evening with Dr. J. Mathews speaking on how to improve the doctor - patient relationship. This evening will not only be informative but will also let you get to socialize with others in a relaxed atmosphere. Dessert, coffee and tea will be served. Cost for event is $5 and you must register in advance as space is very limited.

From Hwy, 401 exit at #278 (Hwy. 8) East

Head down Shantz Rd. (South) to bottom of hill, turn left at bottom

turn right at the first set of traffic lights (King Street)

continue on King St. to stop light at Westminster Dr.

turn left onto Westminster Dr. and proceed to 334 Westminister Dr.

turn left and you are there!

From Hwy, 401 exit at #278 (Hwy.8) East

Head down Shantz Rd. (South) to bottom of hill, turn left at bottom

turn right at the first set of traffic lights (King Street)

continue on King Street for short time

on left you will see the entrance to Riverside Park (turn left into park)

stay to your right side and follow the road until you see our sign on the left.

There will also be a merchandise booth available this year and an information table for you to take free materials home with you.
