So you want to help but don’t know how or where to start. We have come up with a few suggestions that you can do on your own to help support the cause:

• Hold a garage sale – it can be a family, neighbourhood or community event with all the proceeds going to Vasculitis Foundation Canada.
• Hold a bake sale – put up flier's around your neighborhood announcing the sale, and that the proceeds go to help VFC with an explanation of what Vasculitis is.
• Ask the local schools if they would do a fund raiser for Vasculitis. Also ask if you could do a talk to students about Vasculitis to help educate them on these rare diseases.
• Call your local newspaper to see if they would be interested in doing a story on you and your rare disease.
• Give all your doctors brochures and ask if they would display them in their office.
• Put up an awareness flyer in the supermarket and other public places. We could send you a template of the flyer so you can print it off.
• Be a support buddy. We could set you up with someone else with Vasculitis and you can be there for each other through email.
• Tell us some skills you have that you would be willing to donate to us. Any amount of time or any skills are most welcomed even a few hours a week.
• Become a member. Your membership fee’s help us get information out to help promote awareness and get involved in research studies.
• Hold a book sale – gather up used books from family, friends, neighbors and give the proceeds to VFC.
• Have a Vasculitis BBQ – Put up flyer's around town, ask for donations for prizes and food, and invite everyone you know. Contact the local paper about your event. Send all the proceeds to VFC.
• Hold a craft sale – if you’re crafty. It can be with anything that you enjoy doing. It could be woodworking, ornaments, painting you decide. Let people know that all the proceeds will be going to a special charity the VFC.
• Design and sell Vasculitis Christmas cards to family and friends over the holidays. This way you will be supporting Vasculitis, spreading awareness and getting your crafty designs out to many people.
• Hold a scrap booking party and charge admission for all your guests with these proceeds going to support the VFC. This way you can also have a chance to educate your guest about the disease at the same time.
• Have a Vasculitis walk or Golf Tournament. This is a bigger under taking and you may need some extra help.
• Sell 50/50 tickets at your work or through friends and family with all the proceeds going to the VFC. You can also hand out a flyer's on the disease with the ticket to educate others about Vasculitis.
