Hello, my name is Nicole Courchesne and I am 62 years old. I live in a little town south shore of Montreal, in Québec. I received the dianosis of Wagener in December 2010 after more than 6 months of sinusitis, of period of deafness, problem to the eyes and pains to all the articlations. Nobody found what I had and one suspected a bacteriu resistant to antibiotics and the pains with the articulations which had with the catch of antibiotic. At the end of November 2010, a wound on the tongue which did not cure and an evil of throat and a very great sudden tiredness worried me. I could not eat any more. After 3 visits with the urgency it is finally my ORL when he saw ny throat and my tongue decided to hopitalized me and then a doctor, that I call my guardian angel, which had a suspicion of the disease. The final verdict fell in December after the results of the blood tests. what relief of knowing finally and with the drugs not to suffer. Most difficult is to know that we are isolated cases and not to know the cause of this disease. One year later, I am much better, in spite of the fact that after a visit with my ORL, he said that the disease seam to return in my sinus. I will see my doctor tomorrow and will see what will happens. I know that I will not fall as low as last year, but will have to leave with the cortisone and other drugs for several years. I have a wonderful family and a husband that takes good care of me. He is my life saver.

My 6 year old son had a stroke in Oct. and since his CT scan showed that his blood vessels were much smaller or the left side. In Dec. we had another CT scan and the blood vessels were still narrowing. We are still trying to figure out what he has. Our Rheumatologist suggested he may have vasculitis. All blood work and other tests keep coming back normal. Anyone have any suggestions? They want to do another spinal tap and an angiogram. Some other opinions who have dealt with this would be excellent.
